After such good fortune during our June iteration of Cars & Coffee, and temperatures forecasted to peak at 97-degrees Fahrenheit for our July event, we weren’t quite sure what to expect. Well, the feels-like-temperature ended up reading over 105 degrees, so it’s safe to say it was a hot one.
The morning started with Front Street Media staff setting up all of the tables, signage, and cones. Before the clock struck 8 am, the donuts and coffee were arranged on the tables and the first batch of cars began to assemble in the parking lot.
We had a feeling the majority of attendees would show up early while the temperatures were still semi-tolerable, and our predictions were correct. By around 9 am, the parking lot was filling up and we were flush with all types of vehicles.
Our friends at Gear One Performance brought out a Superformance MKIII and left the shop’s Cayman racecar back in West Chester. It was a nice change of pace, and fit right in with the group of muscle cars who had already found their spaces. I even overheard a guest say they arrived at 6 am, but the lot was empty—now that’s dedication.
There was plenty of diversity amongst the rows with a few Alfa Romeo 4Cs, various generations of BMW M cars, and even a few lifted Toyota trucks making an appearance.
As always, we are appreciative of everyone who weathered the oppressive heat and took time out of their Saturday morning to hang out with us. We all enjoyed another unique array of vehicles, some tasty Yum Yum donuts, and some shade. We’ve already set the date for our upcoming August event, but for now, we hope you enjoy the gallery from this past weekend!
