- Pit+Paddock hosts the largest Cars+Coffee to date at Turn 14 Distribution headquarters with more than 750 cars and trucks.
- Presenting partner K&N was on-site to welcome enthusiasts and provide free swag.
- A trio of Mazda RX-7 builds headlined the feature car showcase, including Chris Johnston’s R Magic widebody FD that debuted at last year’s SEMA Show.
- Other standout cars included Andy Lin’s RE Amemiya RX-7, the Live to Offend E36 widebody, and IND Distribution’s G82 M4.
It’s been 175 days since the last time Pit+Paddock took over the parking lots of Turn 14 Distribution headquarters for our October Car Park Party. We couldn’t have asked for a bigger and better turnout for our Cars+Coffee season opener last weekend! An unprecedented 750+ modified cars and trucks braved an unpredictable Pennsylvania forecast, which resulted in an hour of unpleasant rain. A small handful of scaredy cats bolted home. However, most of the attendees, who’ve been waiting nearly six months for the next Pit+Paddock meet to come, stuck around for the three-hour chill and laidback gathering.
We should note that not all enthusiasts were local, as several out-of-state license plates were spotted from New York to as far as Virginia. One vehicle, in particular, headlined the event, which was Chris Johnston and his 500hp R Magic widebody, a finalist from the 2021 SEMA Show Ultimate Build with Meguiar’s. Andy Lin also brought out his white RE Amemiya RX-7 fitted with nothing but the best such as a Garrett GT35R turbo, Ohlins coilovers, Brembo brakes, and TE37 SAGA wheels.
The list of star-studded builds continues to the Live to Offend BMW E36 that rocks a widebody kit designed by the one and only Khyzyl “Kyza” Saleem. IND Distribution also rolled out its British Racing Green G82 BMW M4 from the Turn 14 Distribution lobby for all to see. We also want to acknowledge Jay Follett of Regiment Zero for bringing out one sick Nissan Stagea and Lulu, who surprised folks with a very rare JDM S15 Varietta convertible.
We’d like to thank industry filtration leader K&N for being our presenting partner and making this event possible. The first Cars+Coffee of 2022 was a huge success and a sign of more great things to come. Now we set our eyes on Southern California, where we’ll be hosting our first Cars+Coffee: Overland Edition with the help of CSF on May 1st.
