Luftgekühlt 5: A Celebration of Air-Cooled Engineering

Luftgekühlt, which is German for "air-cooled," is an annual Los Angeles-based event, which showcases a curated list of historically significant or interesting air-cooled Porsches, from both race and street. With each passing year, the event has grown in size as they have moved it to new and more exciting venues.

Performance Art: Akira Nakai Builds The RAUH-Welt Experience

Why would a Porsche owner fly someone over from Japan to cut up their beloved sportscar? Because the experience they get in return is well worth the sacrifice. I had the opportunity to follow along as Nakai-san put his stamp on a local Porsche owner’s 964 and turned it into a RAUH-Welt masterpiece. This is my recollection of the visit as an interested observer.
