  • Pit+Paddock teams up with Vibrant Performance to host a Cars+Coffee event featuring nearly 20 builds from SEMA.
  • The meet took place two weeks after SEMA at the new Brekkie Car Club headquarters in Elysian Valley, Los Angeles.
  • Attendees were treated to free limited edition Leen Customs pins of Riley Stair’s Pontiac Trans Am.
  • Other star vehicles in attendance included Top Rank Importers NISMO 400R, CSF Radiator’s Porsche 911, and Rywire’s EV-swapped Honda S2000.

We understand that not everyone can make it out to the annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The convention takes place between Tuesday and Friday, and SEMA also requires you to show proof of employment in the industry before registering. Because of this, the team at Pit+Paddock, along with our partners at Vibrant Performance, decided to bring a taste of SEMA to the Southern California car community in the form of a Cars+Coffee pop-up featuring a selection of our favorite builds from the show.

The stage was set at the new Brekkie Car Club headquarters in Elysian Valley, Los Angeles – just a few minutes from Dodger Stadium. We had reserved the entire compound, accommodating about 150 cars, but we quickly learned that that wasn’t enough space. Luckily with the event happening on a Saturday morning, all the nearby businesses were closed for the day, which enabled more than adequate street parking.

Brekkie HQ consists of a freshly renovated glass building that served as a full-blown coffee shop. It’s still a month or two away from being completely buttoned up, but the staff made it work and were extremely busy pouring up Cocoa Puff lattes all morning.

Outside is where all the magic was happening, though, as hundreds of people gathered to check out our curated collection of SEMA vehicles. Three Pit+Paddock booth cars were on-hand, including Riley Stair’s 1970 Pontiac Trans Am, Rywire’s EV-swapped Honda S2000, and Dai Yoshihara’s F22C-powered Mercedes 190E. In addition, we showcased Top Rank’s NISMO 400R, Mastermind/Tec-Arts immaculate AE86, the CSF 911, Leen Customs‘ Hakosuka sedan, Peter Chrisikopoulous‘ S13 drift car, and the one and only GR Yaris on American soil. If that wasn’t enough, other heavy hitters like Mike Burroughs of Stanceworks’ Ford Model A and Scott Birdsall’s famous “Smokey” diesel truck made guest appearances.

As a thank you to everyone that came by, a limited edition Leen Customs pin of Riley Stair’s car was given away to the first 400 people. Pit+Paddock is excited to continue celebrating car culture with our Cars+Coffee series and more in 2022, so be on the lookout for future pop-up events coming to your area!
