2016 Wekfest Hawaii
Hawaii’s sport compact aftermarket has always held a close connection with Japanese style. Due to their proximity to the Land of the Rising Sun, many trends have found their way to the islands before making their way across the world. When the Wekfest car show makes their annual stop in the Aloha State, the island’s nicest builds assemble in Honolulu to show the world how they modify cars in paradise; this year Front Street Media was there to record the spectacle.
Super Street x Toyo Tires Calendar Launch
For many people, the start of the New Year brings resolutions to the surface, as personal commitments are made to lose weight, join a gym, or start eating better. It’s also time to hang a fresh, new calendar, and for 2016 Super Street Magazine and Toyo Tires made sure everyone had a stylish example to display by giving them out at various Calendar Launch events. With previous meets in Miami, Florida and Honolulu, Hawaii, the final stop at Boden Autohaus in Costa Mesa, California saw some of Southern California’s nicest show cars make an appearance – and Front Street Media was on the property to check out the festivities.
2016 Tokyo Auto Salon
Japan’s outlandish style has shaped the sport compact tuning industry in recent years. The craze over widened body panels, the oversized wheels to fit inside them, and the use of vibrant lighting emerged in this country. The Tokyo Auto Salon is one of the showcases in Japan that motivates this surge in ‘JDM style’, as many of the country’s pre-eminent builders and vehicle customizers display some of their latest innovations in and on their display vehicles.
2015 Essen Motor Show
The American automotive aftermarket divides itself into two different genres of support, the racing industry represented by the PRI show and the accessory industry at the SEMA show. In Europe the two combine to create the Essen Motor Show, an enormous demonstration of performance vehicles and their accessory aftermarket.
2015 AutoCon x Purist Group Winter Drive
Whether it’s officially organized or a casual gathering, automotive enthusiasts in Southern California are seemingly always close in proximity to a car show. Hosted by AutoCon Events and Purist Group, the Third Annual Winter Drive combined a car show with a charity event to raise donations for charity organizations within the community. Not only assembling an impressive list of unique cars but also over $250,000 worth of toys, this event had something for everyone.
2015 Copaze x 1013MM Meet
Hong Kong is not often known for its car scene. Hidden amongst the endless rows of skyscrapers and cramped living spaces, it has remained relatively hidden. That’s not to say that Hong Kong has wanted to keep its car scene underground up until now.
