- Grid Icons is Pit+Paddock’s new car show concept that highlights a specific genre of performance-themed vehicles
- The upcoming Grid Icons presented by H&R will remix 405 Motoring’s 12,000-square-foot state-of-the-art aesthetic tuning facility for the event.
- This Grid Icons show will turn its focus toward two European marques — Volkswagen and Audi — especially models from the ‘80s, ‘90s, and ‘00s.

Automotive marketing agency and media outlet, Pit+Paddock, has announced it will be hosting its second Grid Icons event in Southern California with suspension manufacturer H&R on Sunday, October 22, 2023, between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
Grid Icons is a new car show series that selects a specific make and model of an enthusiast vehicle and curates an exhibition of performance-tuned builds based on that theme. The first Grid Icons showcased 25 high-horsepower Nissan Skyline GT-Rs, all originally imported from Japan.
With H&R as the presenting partner of the next Grid Icons, the succeeding show will highlight a European genre focused primarily on modified Volkswagen and Audis from the ‘80s, ‘90s, and ‘00s.
“Many of us have been going to the same car events for years at massive convention centers and large parking lots. While many of them are still enjoyable and bring out incredible builds, they can also feel predictable. Pit+Paddock created Grid Icons to change up how we celebrate the community and honor our favorite cars by showing them in a different light and in a more intimate setting,” said Sam Du, Special Projects & Events Manager, Pit+Paddock.
Following the success of the inaugural show at 405 Motoring, Grid Icons will be returning to the 12,000-square-foot event space located only a few miles from Los Angeles International Airport. The aesthetics specialty shop offers unique content-creating opportunities for photographers and videographers thanks to its movie-like lighting and upscale garage backdrops.
There will be a limited number of complimentary spectator tickets offered for the Pit+Paddock x H&R Grid Icons. Registered guests will receive lunch, access to the beer garden, and a raffle ticket for a chance to win an exclusive collaboration skate deck and hoodie.
